Welcome to our brand-new Sunday series.
As we all navigate life through these strange and uncertain times, we know you need more authentic content from us than ever before.

We’ve teamed up with a whole host of self-care ICONS to discuss the big issues that are close to their hearts.
Their stories are woven together with hope for the future and include practical ways to harness self-love, confidence and positivity, even on the days that feel extra tough.

Tune in to our Instagram stories every Sunday for the full takeover.

Trigger Warning: Anxiety

ICONIC Babe Anastasia LuLu is ICONIC London’s Social Media and Content Manager and micro influencer.

We talked to LuLu about lockdown life, working from home and being an expat and away from family for nearly a year!

1. What does self-love mean to you?

Self-love to me means taking the time to look after yourself. For me, self-love has been getting into healthy habits like meditation and long walks.

2. How do you practice self-love daily?

I love to start my day with journaling and mediation. I always try and get a walk in nature at lunchtime! Getting into these habits has improved my mental health drastically. On the days I don’t stick to this routine, I really feel it!

3. How have you found lockdown?

I have found it quite challenging at times! I miss my colleagues in the office and just being busy. I am someone who struggles with anxiety and overthinking so this lockdown has been hard on me in that area. But I have found my routine that has helped me stay out of a funk!

4. How has being away from your family been?

It has been super challenging; I think the hardest part has been the not knowing - not knowing when I will see them again. Thank god for FaceTime! My family and I are in touch nearly every day.

5. Favourite mantras or motivational quotes?

“When you arise in the morning, think what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, and to love”

It’s never been more important to ASK FOR HELP if you feel you need it. Don’t suffer alone!
