MEET: Yasmin
Model & Content Creator raising awareness for Vitiligo.
ICONIC: Hi, ICON! Please introduce yourself, let’s GET REAL…
Yasmin: My name is Yasmin, although everybody calls me Yas, and I am a Vitiligo model from South London. I began modelling my Vitiligo last year, when I was scouted by a talent agency, and it was the best thing that’s ever happened to me!
ICONIC: What makes you feel ICONIC?
Yasmin: One thing that makes me ICONIC is my facial difference…my vitiligo! It took me a long time to understand that, yes, I am so much more than a woman with Vitiligo, but my Vitiligo is a part of me, a part of me that makes me beautifully unique, and I wouldn’t change that for the world! In my opinion, blending in is over-rated and I love standing out!
ICONIC: What role does makeup play in your life?
Yasmin: Make-up plays a massive role in my life! Not only within my work when I am getting glammed on shoots but in my personal life. I used to completely camouflage my Vitiligo with makeup because I hated anyone seeing me in my natural state. I am so happy to say that now I no longer hide behind makeup and use it to only enhance my natural beauty!
ICONIC: We LOVE working with you, Yasmin! What is it about ICONIC that you love?
Yasmin: I love ICONIC make-up! I love everything from the quality, formulas, shade range even down to how long the product lasts in the bottle! I am utterly obsessed and for sure an ICONIC girl!
ICONIC: Let’s talk about our NEW concealer.. Eek!
Yasmin: I am raving about the New Concealer! Ever since I received a sample to try, it has become a stape in my makeup routine. I use it to brighten, highlight, spot conceal any redness or dark circles!
ICONIC: What else do people need to know about it?
Yasmin: The concealer speaks for itself, it’s an incredible product. The one thing I want people to know about is the message ICONIC have put behind the launch of their new product, asking everyone to Conceal but get real! I truly believe that no one has any imperfections they need to conceal, for years I did, and realizing I don’t, has to be one of the most freeing and best realizations I have ever made.
